The personal process a practitioner goes through requires observation of a relationship of mutual love and support.  The power and light that is cultivated in spiritual practice is for all for it provides protection and light for this nation. The point is that spiritual practitioners provide a huge resource of love and consciousness for our country. If we are capable of opening our doors to accept and honor this light we will be in a better place to have a peace keeping nation. The light of consciousness that moves us to work in a global way is provided mainly by those who are not of this country since the Canadian nation is no longer primarily Christian. Therefore if we are able to examine the situation and re-enforce a way to create unity and respect we have the most powerful beauty.

Essence of Faith

To desire is a primary impulse that supports the actualizing of consciousness. Sometimes a desire doesn’t have a clear designation. We learn through awareness that heart is of value in a culture of many paths. We hold ourselves by association with that which we desire since the power of collective is what we learn as we grow in community. The process of holding heart in association is a potent and harmonious act of courage. In order to have the desired outcome we must let go of managing. This is the essence of faith as it is the deep need and commitment for heartfelt truth.

 Of Interfaith

The term interfaith was born as a need , reflected as a consciousness  looking  to describe a mutual desire for unity in  a nation with diverse spiritual values. Our country came into itself as a nation dedicated to upholding peace throughout the world and it was known that the minority of the population was immigrant. For this reason we looked to support those who did not have the grounding for understanding or growing in a new nation. What the ministry had to do was examine the specific needs of each faith and know that the goodness of each would transport us into a new relationship nationally.

When interfaith was born there wasn’t a specific movement at hand, it was simply that the movement of consciousness towards unity was underfoot. The practice of accepting a multicultural nation under a swift spiritual shift was uncertain. Today we have better understanding of the need for unity as a distinctiveness that our county has come to honor.

The relationship of the individual of the interfaith movement is their relationship with their personal spiritual authority.  As a country we have a diverse collective, rich in culture, blending information and consciousness that moves us continually towards new beginnings.

Personally the interfaith movement is a strong power that if respected can ground us and provide an anchor that supports world association in many ways. The faiths that are commonly represented are known and well established, and within is a treasure house that can support greater growth and unity. What I see is that should we extend ourselves to better understand the philosophy and practice of  each faith we can then provide deeper respect and compassion for the power that they hold within our nation.

When a practitioner of a faith other than that which is common to us is in distress or lost there is little grounding to support reconnection if we do not understand the foundation of practice they are born in. In the interfaith movement there is a need for greater grounding and understanding so that we can better support.
